Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Teresa Kayser is MCN’s Affordable Housing Specialist VISTA Summer Associate. In this role, she tackles housing accessibility issues faced by long-term volunteers and AmeriCorps members in Minnesota. Addressing the task from various angles, including policy research, fundraising, and community partnerships, they aim to increase the viability of living as a long-term volunteer in the state and broader region. Freshly graduated from St. Olaf College, Teresa plans to utilize the knowledge she gained from her Sociology/Anthropology and Economics majors to address various economic inequities, especially those related to housing. When they have free time, you can find her watching cooking shows, hunting for various frog knick-knacks, or reading ethnographies!
