Megan graduated from St. Olaf College in May of 2020 with a B.A. in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies and a minor in Statistics and Data Science. While there, she pursued her passions for research and social justice to help create and sustain a social psychology research lab. She was involved in multiple studies investigating how marginalized communities can better cope with experiences of discrimination or injustice. Looking for ways to apply her academic research experience in a corporate setting while still holding on to her activist roots, she applied for a position with Americorps VISTA after graduation. She is spending her service year as the Research and Technology Specialist for WomenVenture, where she will be helping to expand the availability of entrepreneurial training programs for women beyond the metro area. In the future, she hopes to return to school to pursue a master’s degree or Ph.D., and would like to one day inform policy with her research. Also, she loves otters.
